Who I am

I got into tech in 2011, in infrastructure and support, and spent years on the product side, first managing vendors and later as Product Owner of a language-learning platform. Moving into software engineering in 2020 was a planned step, not an accident. What I gained from it is hard to teach: I know what code does to a business once it ships. That still shapes how I pick what to build first.

I spent almost five years at Funcional Health Tech, on systems where downtime was not an abstract problem: authentication, authorization and sales transaction APIs handling over a million requests a day. I took part in the security refactor of around 27 systems and APIs, and helped level-3 support cut its ticket queue by 90%. I mentored developers, designed solutions alongside POs and architects, and followed deliveries through production and post-release support.

Since 2025 I have worked independently on software engineering projects, primarily building with C#/.NET on the back end and React with TypeScript on the front. Depending on the project, my work spans implementation, technical decisions and product guidance. I hold a BSc in Information Systems from UFF.

Working remotely across different countries since 2022 has made distributed collaboration a normal part of how I work. It taught me to document decisions, hand work over cleanly, communicate asynchronously and never assume the other person is in my timezone. I am currently based in Dublin, Ireland.
